We sure hope everyone is ready for another summer filled with Summer Reading Club fun!  Here is what we are planning for 2018:

For preschoolers:

Thursday morning Story Time will continue throughout the summer.  Join us every Thursday at 10:30 AM for stories, songs, and a craft.

For Kindergarten to Gr. 3:

Summer Reading Club will run on Thursdays from 1:30-3:00 starting July 5th through to Aug. 23rd.  Each week kids will participate in a variety of activities.  No pre-registration is required.

For Gr. 4 to 7:

Try our new BOOK CAMP, a fun way to explore four fantasy fiction novels on a whole new level.  Each book will be the focus of two weeks of camp, starting with “The Hobbit” the first week of July.  Come to one session or come to them all.  It will be great fun!  Campers are asked to read the book ahead of time.  If you need to borrow a copy, contact the library and we will bring one in for you.  We want your vote for the best day to have our Book Camp.  Take a minute to fill out our survey and we will let you know very soon what the day and time for Book Camp will be.

For Families:

Pop-Up Story Times are back.  We will be meeting at a different outdoor location each Friday morning at 11:00 AM throughout July and August.  The location will be listed on our Facebook page and on the Events Calendar on our website.

Andy the Musical Scientist will be here for an all-ages performance on Thursday, July 19th at 1:30 PM.  Meet us in the main hall on the lower level of the library for some FREE family fun!

Sprinkles the Clown will be at the library on Thursday, Aug. 9th at 10:30 AM.  Sprinkles is always so entertaining so meet us in the library to see what she will be up to.

PLUS THE FUN CONTINUES…

We have our annual Summer Reading Log for kids to track their reading.  They can do their own reading or be read to–all reading counts!  Pick up your reading log starting June 26th and earn your way to prizes, including a LEGO Mini Fig for the first log you complete (while supplies last).

We also have a Tween/Teen BINGO reading challenge that also comes with prizes AND…

ADULT BINGO reading challenge is back, too!

So much to be excited about this summer!
