In an effort to encourage learning going beyond just one day on September 30, the library will be posting resources and questions to guide and encourage learning about Indigenous cultures, histories, and relationships to Canada.
This week, colour the colouring page while you discuss as a family where the phrase “Every Child Matters” started and why it’s important. Why is the orange shirt important?
Find colouring page here or stop by the library: Every Child matters book draw colouring 1 (1)
Then comment on our post on Facebook or Instagram with one or two things your family talked about to be entered into the draw for a free copy of “Phyllis’s Orange Shirt”. Draw open until Mar. 12/22
This is one part of the Every Child Matters Year-long Learning Challenge from Columbia Basin Environmental Education Network (CBEEN) and School District 6. Learning is just the start and this challenge is designed to help us learn and then take meaningful action for change.
