A FREE program with fun games, crafts & activities each week. This year we are Exploring the World of Curiosities. For ages 5-12 (5 year-olds must be finished Kindergarten).
Registration is required. Contact/visit the library up to one week ahead of each session to be added to that week’s sign up list. Limit of 20 participants per session. A one-time contact form must be filled out as well.
Reading logs will be accepted until September 6, 2024.
Schedule:
Tuesdays @ the Library from July 9 – August 27
11:00 am-12:30 pm for ages 5-8*
2:00-3:30 pm for ages 9-12

Jar of Curiosities
Drop by the front desk to guess how many objects are inside our Jar of Curiosities! Entrants will have until Sept.6 to guess. The patron with the closest guess will receive a prize at the end of the summer!

What is Summer Reading Club?
There are 2 parts: one is tracking your reading at home with the reading log to earn a prize. The other part is the program session where we Explore the World of Curiosities with crafts, games, and activities!

What can I include in my reading log?
All reading counts! Stories, information books, comics, online articles…if you read it or someone reads it to you, you can include it in your log.
Can I drop into the program?
Registration is required to attend this program. Contact/visit us up to one week ahead of each Tuesday session to add your child to that week’s signup list. Maximum of 20 participants for each session.
Do I need a library card to join?
You don’t need a library card to be part of SRC. Everyone is welcome! You only need a card to take library books home.
Do I need to come to the program to get a reading log?
Nope! Anyone ages 5-12 can grab a reading log starting July 2 to track their reading over the summer! Logs due back by Sept. 6, 2024.
What about teens?
Pick-up our TEEN Summer Reading Challenge sheet at the library to complete weekly challenges and earn points for prizes! For those going into Grade 7-12. Begins the first week of July. Each completed challenge gets you an entry into our monthly prize draws!
What about younger kids?
Join us for Pop-up Storytime at a new location each Friday at 10:30 am in July & August. Check our storytime page and social media for locations. Join us on Saturday mornings at 10:30 for Storytime at the Invermere Public Library.
